Parks and Recreation System

Overview

LOGIS’s Management Information System (MIS) solution for Parks and Recreation Departments is Class for Windows from Class Software Solutions, Limited. Class is a multi-user system composed of integrated, Windows-based software packages designed specifically to meet the needs of professionals in the Leisure/Education Services industry. It is recognized throughout North America as a leader in its field.

Program Registration
Customers no longer wait in long lines on “registration day.” The on-line, multi-user system allows staff to register customers for any program at any facility. Early registrations and credit card payments are easily accepted. Customers receive immediate confirmation of space.

  • The intuitive design and interface allow even new or part time staff to provide a high level of customer service.

  • Input is fast and flexible using your choice of mouse, keyboard, or bar code scanner.

  • Extensive on-line help and tutorial (with demo database) are just a mouse click away.

  • Accesses major functions with a single click of a mouse.

  • Provides for unlimited client files and database entries.

  • Credit card authorization can be integrated into the system.

  • Provides over 150 standard reports.

  • Generates customized reports with the industry-standard Crystal Reports package. This provides an excellent demographic and statistical data tracking tool.

  •  Access control and security are built-in.

  • Keyword searches allow for quick retrieval of information.

  • Multiple registrations for the same family or organization are handled in a single transaction with one payment.

  • Customers can be wait-listed directly from the registration screen. When a space becomes available, Class automatically prints an alert.

  • Special instructions, events promotion, or paid advertising can appear on clients’ confirmation slips and receipts.

Facility Booking
Class automates all aspects of scheduling, booking, and rental of indoor and outdoor facilities. Rentals can be processed from any PC at any facility within the network and may be booked years into the future. Tentative and firm bookings can be made using the on-screen facility booking graph. Bookings can be made for rentals, programs, maintenance (e.g. room set-up), administration or holidays.

  • Staff can match customers’ requirements to available facilities and reserve one immediately, or print a list that the customer can take away to consider.

  • Staff can quickly identify programs and services that are under-enrolled. These openings can then be re-booked.

Membership Services
Class automates the sale and administration of memberships or passes to recreation facilities such as health clubs, fitness classes, or racquetball courts. The Membership Module is fully integrated with Program Registration. A membership and registration from the same customer may be handled in a single process with one payment. Memberships are validated when customers use a facility.

  • Lost, stolen, expired or canceled membership cards will cause a warning message to appear.

  • Visits are recorded, thereby tracking membership and facility usage.

  • Renewal notices are automatically generated.

  • With an optional card printer and digital camera, membership cards with photo ID and bar code can be created.

Touch-tone Phone and Internet Registration

These modules provide an advanced and highly flexible registration system that offers customers 7 day-a-week, 24 hour-a-day access to programs and courses from the comfort of their own home. The entire transaction—from course selection to registration to credit card payment—is accomplished with a few simple telephone or keyboard actions.

Point of Sale (Electronic Cash)
The integrated Point of Sale Module provides a Windows-based retail system for handling drop-ins, facility pass sales, merchandise, food/beverages, and inventory. The system is fast and efficient with support for bar code scanning, cash drawers, and receipt printers through industry standard PC hardware.

Information Management
An interface between the Program Registration Module and a PC or Mac-based desktop publishing application provides for the easy preparation of brochures and newsletters. A Mailing Lists and Labels Module prints labels in various formats. The mail merge interface (to word processors) allows for customized, target mailings. A Market Analysis Module determines registration patterns for clients from different areas based on specific courses.
