Utility Billing System
Overview
LOGIS’s utility billing solution is a
state-of-the-art system that addresses a city’s or organization’s need
to track and charge for a wide spectrum of utility services such as
water, sewer, garbage pick-up, street lighting, storm drainage, etc.
The Utility Billing System is designed to be one of the most flexible
and powerful utility billing systems available.
Our Unique
Advantage
Because of LOGIS's position as a
consortium of Minnesota cities and agencies, we have a unique
understanding of what our members want and need. In fact, our members
played a key role in the design of the Utility Billing System, helping
our staff and adding a user perspective to the system. The LOGIS
Utility Billing System is truly an application designed by and for
cities and agencies.
Easy to Use, Yet Powerful
Although the Utility Billing System is a
powerful application, it will not scare you off with its interface. Its
menu-driven structure is much like easy-to-use PC programs. For
example, you can select values for many fields from pop-up lists, and
on-line, context-sensitive help is only a keystroke away. More advanced
users can navigate through the system using our exclusive Quick Key
feature, which bypasses menus and makes any function instantly
available by entering a four-character to six-character “mnemonic.”
Flexible Reports
Of course, the Utility Billing System has a full complement of useful,
standard reports. For complete flexibility in reporting, the system
also runs in conjunction with the DataExpress report writing software.
DataExpress allows users to design their own reports using any data
maintained by the system. Using DataExpress or an ODBC link, you can
also download data from the Utility Billing System to a PC. DataExpress
can format the downloaded data in various popular word processing,
spreadsheet, and database formats.
