LOGIS has welcomed seven new staff members since the last issue of
Bits & Bytes: Kyle Bradshaw, Delbert Calhoun, Marc Gade, Jack
Israel, Pamela Kummer, Jeremiah Rush, and Cassandra Stickler. In
addition, current staff member Jude Giron has been promoted.
Kyle Bradshaw has joined the LOGIS staff as an IP Telephony and
Infrastructure Specialist. He comes to us from RBC Dain Rauscher,
where he maintained the local and wide area networks and
implemented/configured their IP (Internet Protocol) telephony
system. At LOGIS, Kyle is the main support person for the IP
Telephony system, assisting member agencies with implementation,
upgrades, and daily support.
Delbert Calhoun has come on board as a Client Server Specialist. He
comes to us from Sacramento, CA, where he was a JD Edwards
EnterpriseOne Configurable Network Computing Architect. At LOGIS,
Delbert manages JD Edwards components, including object storage,
object development, path codes, data sources, middleware, mapping of
objects, environments, JAS and Citrix servers.
Marc Gade has taken on a Network Specialist role at LOGIS. He comes
to us from Hyrian, where he was a Systems Administrator, responsible
for maintenance of all servers, applications, and IT infrastructure.
At LOGIS, Marc works with local and wide area networks for the LOGIS
home office and for member agencies. His duties include network
installations and upgrades, operating system updates, new product
research, network problem resolution, and analysis/consulting on
network hardware and software.
Jack Israel has joined the LOGIS staff as a Network Architect. He
comes to us from Kent Technologies, where he worked with
infrastructure design, implementation, troubleshooting, and IP
Telephony. At LOGIS, Jack is responsible for network designs,
standards, long range planning, bid specifications, and INET
agreements.
Pamela Kummer has joined the LOGIS staff as a Utility Billing
Support Analyst. She comes to us from the City of St. Louis Park,
where she was a Senior Utility Billing Clerk in the Finance
Department. At LOGIS, Pamela supports the CIS Infinity Utility
Billing System.
Jeremiah Rush has taken on a Network Administrator role at LOGIS. He
comes to us from Geek Squad, where he was a “Deputy Director of
Counter Intelligence” (technical manager for the data recovery team)
at Geek Squad City. He currently works on the Network Services Help
Desk, where he is a first point of contact for LOGIS members and
staff who need help resolving technical issues.
Cassandra Stickler has come on board as a CAD (Computer Aided
Dispatch) Support Analyst with the LOGIS Public Safety group. She
comes to us from Anoka County Central Communications, where she was
a 911 Dispatcher, answering 911 calls and managing the police and
fire radios for twenty-five agencies. At LOGIS, Cassandra assists
Public Safety Answering Points (911 call centers) with all
CAD-related issues, from day-to-day support to new agency
configuration.
Jude Giron has been promoted to the position of Infrastructure and
Systems Administrator. He is responsible for all types of
infrastructure maintenance at LOGIS, including firewall
modifications, VPN (Virtual Private Network) connections, and IP
Telephony modifications.
Welcome Kyle, Delbert, Marc, Jack, Pamela, Jeremiah, and Cassandra!
