LOGIS has embarked on a project to archive approximately seven years of CAD data (data prior to 2010). Keeping just 2-3 years of CAD data on the production system is very common practice. It is expected that improved CAD processing times will be seen after the data is removed. The archive process began recently after approval from the PSAP managers and will take place slowly over the next few months. Although the data will no longer be accessible through CAD, it will still be available through the reporting options.
Utility Billing Support decided to change things up a little for this month’s blog article. With the Thanksgiving holiday fast approaching we decided to let you know what, or in this case, who we are thankful for and why.
We are thankful for our member cities!
We are thankful for the uniqueness of each city. No two days are alike.
We are thankful for your dynamic personalities. You are a pleasure to work with.
We are thankful for your compassion. You are a caring group of individuals.
We are thankful for the opportunity to work with YOU!
One of the most useful features in the Facility Booking Module of the Class parks and recreation system is formats. The format feature allows you to display any combination of facilities in the same grid on the Facility Booking Screen. For example, you could create a grid consisting of just meeting rooms, even if those rooms were located in different buildings around your city.
Usually, when you create a format, it is only visible to the Class user who creates it. However, it can be very useful to create a “system-wide” format, which is visible and can be used by anyone logging into Class. To create a system-wide format, you must indicate that it is system-wide on the Maintain Facility Booking Display Format Screen by clicking on the appropriate button in the upper right corner of the screen (see illustration). Note that your Class log in must have the security rights to create system-wide formats.
If you have any questions about system-wide formats or would like to have that security right, please contact LOGIS Class support.
Testing on the new ePermits is nearing completion. There are a few items yet to be addressed before releasing the new version into production. Eden Prairie will be our first city to convert to the new website. They have been diligently testing the system and reviewing data for the past couple weeks.
After Eden Prairie is released, and everything is stable, we will begin the conversion process for the remaining 12 cities. Additionally, there will be extensive training involved since the administration portion of ePermits has also improved.
The City of Apple Valley is currently moving forward to integrate ePermits in 2013.
Several cities have expressed interest in ePermits and many are eager to schedule a demonstration of the new product.
November 7, 2012, LOGIS staff rolled out the latest version of the Property Data System (PDS) software. One of the significant changes in this version was the Commercial / Industrial / Apartments (CIA) Submission enhancement. The CIA Submission creates an excel spreadsheet with all the data elements which are required to be submitted to Hennepin County. With this in place all Assessing members will be able to automatically submit the data in a standardized format.
