During the 3rd week of December 2012, we released a new version of PIMS into production. The new version introduced the new and improved ePermit administration function which is conveniently located on the menu tree of PIMS. This offers the end user expediency when adding new ePermits, as well as modifying existing ePermits to the website.
Training for the new ePermit administration has been provided to all cities that have been scheduled for conversion within December 2012 and January 2013.
The new functionality is currently available to all ePermit cities.
LOGIS now has a single dedicated phone line for public safety application support intended to allow callers to get in contact with the most appropriate person for the following major public safety application groups:
Incoming calls will first be routed to the appropriate public safety support staff members. If those staff members are unavailable, the caller will then automatically be diverted to other available public safety support staff. In the case that no staff member is currently available, calls will be diverted to voice mail, which will initiate an email notification to all staff members.
The Support Line will help insure that calls are answered and resolved in a timely manner. The phone number to call for LOGIS public safety support is 763-230-7199.
By now, everyone who uses the Class Parks and Recreation system knows that their Class password expires automatically after 90 days. This is not only a good security idea in general; it is also a requirement of the credit card industry. Unfortunately, this can result in some unavoidable Class “down time” when you discover your password no longer works, you must then contact your IT department or LOGIS Class support, and LOGIS Class support resets your password.
However, there is a way to be proactive about this whole process. Class allows its users to change their passwords at any time, making it possible to avoid the down time altogether. All you have to do is go to the Class Central Login Module and use the top menu to access File > Change Password. The Change Password dialog box will appear (see graphic at right). Just enter your current password in the “Old Password” field and your new password twice (in the “New Password” and “Confirm Password” fields). Be sure to memorize the new password!
Of course, you have to have a way to remember when it’s time to change your password. This is most easily accomplished by setting up a reminder in your Outlook calendar or a similar calendar application. Set the reminder as a “recurring” type that will remind you about every 80 days to change your password. Setting the reminder at 80 days instead of 90 days will insure that the password gets changed before Class makes it expired.
There will always be situations where you won’t be able to change your password before it expires. That should never be a concern for you. LOGIS Class support has no problems resetting your password at any time.
