On Thursday, October 17, 2013, LOGIS was pleased to host the Government Payroll Review Seminar (GPRS) for the 6th year in a row.
GPRS is an annual education and networking event for local government payroll and human resources practitioners in the greater Twin Cities Metro area. Presentations included a Health Care Reform update from Darcy Hitesman of Hitesman & Wold, PA and a discussion of Taxable vs. Non-Taxable Compensation from Terry Miggitt of Payroll University.
The LOGIS facility in Golden Valley is ideal for GPRS because of its central location, comfortable meeting spaces, and modern presentation technology. Many attendees work for LOGIS member agencies, including our own HR/Payroll analysts who also attended. A big thank you to the organizers for helping make this a successful event!
The Finance User Group met on Thursday October 10th for their fall meeting.
Over 20 members were in attendance to discuss a wide range of items. Included in the discussion were revisions to specific functionality for the revised Check Register Report and additional processing options for the Cash Receipt Proof Report. Presentations from DocuSphere and McGladrey provided an overview on Accounts Payable Automation.
As always, the information shared among member users provides valuable insight for specific “fixes” along with direction for future enhancements.
The winter user group meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 20, 2014.
Address: 6000 W. Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34746

LOGIS will host the annual PIMS user group meeting on Wednesday October 16, 2013. We will review all the enhancements rolled out in the latest PIMS release relating to Permits, Inspections, and Scheduling.
In addition to the release notes review, as well as other meeting items, we will discuss the success of the new ePermits site and mention the upcoming improvements in store for the website including eScheduling and eLicensing.
The participation from each city is always highly attended . We are looking forward to a successful and productive meeting.
The latest release of the PDS software included several changes to help users quickly enter data. The first change is a new item called “Flags Mass Update” which allows users to update the assessment flags for several PIDs at one time, either adding flags or removing them. The second new item is called “Mass Payoff for Service Charges” and gives the ability to payoff assessments for many PIDs at one time when payment is received on one check.
