Bair Analytics ATACRAIDS is an advanced crime analysis tool used by several members of LOGIS. Agencies have found to be a very useful tool in analyzing and responding to criminal activity within their own jurisdictions. Back in 2013, LOGIS began working with Bair Analytics to develop an integration with the Motorola Law Records Management System that would allow agency personnel to visualize select criminal and non-criminal activity on a simple web map interface. Building upon that success, ATACRAIDS then developed a Calls For Service module, which provided functionality to visualize Call for Service data from a 911 center’s CAD system. As of November 2014, LOGIS now has an integration with this new CFS module for agencies using Motorola’s Printrak CAD as well as those using Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office CAD. An additional benefit for some agencies is the capability to consume this published data using the more robust ATAC Workstation product, also provided by Bair Analytics.
For HR/Payroll support, our busiest time of year is again upon us – preparing the benefit enrollment, integrating the enrollment data with the payroll process, setting up the new year and closing the old year requires nerves of steel. The behind the scenes process includes:
Benefit Enrollment – both online and manually
Integration into JDE employee files
Rate changes for those due at the first of the year
Processing of the first payrolls of the new year
Then it is back to the old year – completing reconciliations of final year-end reports, and
Finally printing and submitting the W2s
Throughout this process we continue to implement best practices which require additional work short-term, but easier access long-term.
Time only to take a deep breath before 2015 projects kick off…

Continued Stubs on AP checks,
Purchasing Card use amongst members, and,
1099 Year End Preparation and Process.
The meeting was well attended, with excellent discussion of the agenda items.
Currently, the City of Eden Prairie is finishing last minute eScheduling testing. We plan to release the new version into production (City of Eden Prairie only) in December 2014.
eScheduling will accompany ePermits in an effort to greatly simplify scheduling required inspections online for city staff, contractors, and homeowners. Once the new feature has successfully maintained stability in production, we will offer eScheduling to any and all interested ePermit cities. There will be a significant amount of testing and training for each city prior to releasing the eScheduling function into production.
Each year LOGIS PDS Assessors are required to report Sales Ratios to the Minnesota Department of Revenue (MNDOR). Last year a new process to report these Sales Ratios was mandated by way of a T-Calc spreadsheet developed by MNDOR. This was a multi-step process consisting of: generation of the Sales Ratios report, export this data to an excel spreadsheet, copy the data from the excel spreadsheet and past it into the MNDOR T-Calc spreadsheet. LOGIS programmed the ability to automate the process by exporting the Sales Ratios directly into the spreadsheet for the assessors.
This year MNDOR updated the T-Calc spreadsheet and created the new MCAST spreadsheet for reporting Sales Ratios. The format of the spreadsheet had changed so LOGIS quickly programmed and tested the changes. The assessors were once again back in business with an automated process.
