LOGIS is happy to announce the addition of the City of Rochester to the Special Assessments application. Data conversion is well underway to bring their historical data into the Property Data System (PDS). A few programming tweaks are needed to accommodate business practices for Rochester. Once the data is converted and balanced with their current system it will be time for some software training for the users to allow for them to feel comfortable with PDS.
The goal is for the City of Rochester to be live on Special Assessments by January 1, 2016.
The last group of current LOGIS Parks and Recreation system users to be converted to RecTrac—Crystal, Lakeville, and Maple Grove—will be attending their first week of training during the week of September 21st. The first week of training will concentrate on entering basic system information such as accounting data, programs, facilities, membership types, POS items, and leagues. City staff will then have several weeks to enter more base information before moving on to the second week of training, which will concentrate on how to use RecTrac on a day-to-day basis. The second week of training starts on October 19th.
Annually, Advanced Utility System invites LOGIS Utility Billing Support Staff members to come on site for training. The purpose of the training visits is to empower LOGIS Support Staff with the knowledge to fix CIS Infinity issues that are repetitive and do not require programming/development changes to the database structure. The UB Support Staff knowledge has grown exponentially over the last several years as a result of the training sessions.
During the site visit, LOGIS staff has the opportunity to meet one-on-one with members of the Advanced Support team, Development team, Training staff and management. The individualized sessions give way to building stronger relationships with Advanced staff.
Some of the topics covered this year include: AMR/AMI Interface configuration, Route Management & Mass Cycle/Book changes, Bill Print Consumption Graph, Backflow and Infinity.Mobile. Outstanding Service Wise items were reviewed.
