A condition can occur—albeit rarely—in RecTrac 3.1 (LOGIS’ Parks and Recreation system offering) where enrollment counts for courses can be out of synch on reports vs. the program interface. In these cases, there is a simple method of bringing the count back in synch: the Enrollment Recalculation process. To perform this process, go to Management > Activity Management > Activity Section Management, and bring up the affected activity section in the grid. Highlight that activity section and click on the “Enrollment Recalculation” button at the bottom of the screen.
The Enrollment Recalculation screen will appear with your chosen activity section at the top. Click on the Process button on the bottom of the screen. A window will appear informing you that the process was successful. This should re-synch the enrollment counts.
Back in March/April 2015, the PIMS team hosted several vendor demonstrations to investigate Electronic Plan Review (ePlan Review) software solutions to partner with our PIMS software.
The concept of electronic plan review caught the attention of many jurisdictions.
We are currently working with the City of Edina constructing an interface between PIMS / ePermits and Avolve ProjectDox software.
Specific setup, training, and testing have begun. Bi weekly meetings between LOGIS, City of Edina, and Avolve ensure all tasks are completed on time. We look forward to offering this future product enhancement to the public.
The Fall 2015 Utility Billing User Group meeting was held Tuesday, October 13 at the LOGIS offices from 9:00am – 12:30 pm. A number of new staff from member cities were introduced and welcomed by the group.
Topic highlights of the Fall meeting included updates regarding Infinity.Link outsourcing and the Brooklyn Center Infinity.Mobile implementation, CIS Infinity build testing, a review of available database tools to ensure financial balancing, a review of application ‘wish list’ items, and general tips and tricks for application ease-of-use.
Considerable time was also devoted to discussion of user-provided topics, as the intent of these semiannual meetings, in addition to covering LOGIS updates and news, is to foster communication, networking, and the sharing of best practices among our members. User-provided topics for this meeting included procedures related to certification of past due utilities, final billing procedures, and owner/tenant relationships, as well as other general best practice discussions.
We wish to extend our thanks to all of the meeting attendees for their participation in making this a another productive and informative session!
Included with each new release of the Property Data Systems (PDS) software there are several helpful enhancements which most of the time have been requested by our user base. These enhancements are documented in the release notes which are sent out to all users. Unfortunately they are sometimes missed when reading the notes.
In the latest PDS software release there is a useful trick to getting to the Assessment Master screen. While on the Assessment Search screen, a simple right mouse click on the SA number in the detail grid will open a pop up shortcut to allow you to go to the Assessment Master Information screen for that SA number.
