The City of Willmar is now live on PIMS! City staff has begun entering data, issuing permits, including inspection results.
They are also using our Code Enforcement module which is another branch of the PIMS system. This utility facilitates code compliance within the City.
The Inspections staff had completed a formal training session to help with the configuration of database tables and maneuvering throughout the system. They were also offered a testing phase (following training) which allowed them to enter test data into the system at City Hall and get comfortable with data entry.
LOGIS staff was on-site the first couple days to ensure a smooth transition. This allows City staff to ask questions, offer feedback, and receive ‘hands on” attention throughout the changeover.
We are very excited to welcome the City of Willmar as a new LOGIS member and new addition to the PIMS application.
A series of regular RecTrac User Group Meetings is now scheduled through the end of 2016. These will be targeted meetings to discuss various aspects of the RecTrac software. During the Fall 2015 Special Assessments User Group meeting, the users viewed a demonstration of the LOGIS eProperty application. eProperty is a website which displays real-time public information about special assessments for a parcel/property.
Currently five LOGIS members (Burnsville, Eagan, Lakeville, St Paul and Woodbury) have eProperty websites. Six additional members (Brooklyn Center, Crystal, Eden Prairie, Farmington, Minnetonka and Rochester) expressed interest in how they too could get an eProperty website for their city. These six members now have their own eProperty website in test mode for them to fine tune how each part is worded.
Once the wording is finalized the website can be moved into production and the member will be live on eProperty. All citizens will then be able to view their current special assessments online.
Congratulations to Minnetonka Police and Fire for their successful go live on the TriTech suite of public safety applications. The systems were cutover on Wednesday, March 30th and everything went well. The Minnetonka staff was well prepared and handled the normal go live hiccups in stride. With Maple Grove and Minnetonka now live, the roll-out continues with Dakota County training starting in mid-April.
After 31 years of serving the LOGIS membership, Rich Sonenblum retired on March 24th. Rich began his career at LOGIS in 1984 and has worked in various capacities. He has spent nearly half of his career as the LOGIS Public Safety System Support Supervisor. Rich was kept busy right up until his last day preparing for the rollout of the new system. Thanks to Rich for all of your work throughout the years and best wishes on a long and happy retirement.
