The latest release of PDS contained many useful enhancements to assist in daily work tasks.
One highly requested option was the ability to create a new duplicate Master Assessment without filling in all the fields.
The Assessment Master Information screen now contains a new button, “Master Copy.” This button allows for the easy creation of a new Master Assessment identical to the original. When you select the button a new Assessment Copy window will open to allow you to enter the new master assessment number and give it a new description if desired. An exact copy of the original master assessment will be created and only the Status needs to be filled in and saved. Detail records are not copied to the new Master Assessment.
This same functionality was implemented on the Assessment Transfer screen with a “Copy” button.
eScheduling is an added function of the ePermits website which allows contractors and homeowners to schedule permit inspections online. This is a fast and efficient way to schedule required inspections associated with any permit in the database.
Ramsey recently went live with ePermits in May 2016 and quickly introduced eScheduling in June 2016, following application configuration, training and testing.
Scheduled inspections can be viewed on the ePermits website by simply searching for the linked permit number.
Ramsey is our 2nd PIMS city to incorporate eScheduling to the general public and is experiencing great success!
Testing of the newest CIS Infinity application build 3.1.24 is in full swing. LOGIS staff began this process by refreshing the TESTLOGIS database and then applying the build. Full regression testing is approximately 75% complete. We are happy to report no issues have been discovered at this time.
In addition to LOGIS testing, one other city is also testing build 3.1.24. If you have any time available over the next 3 – 4 weeks, Utility Billing Support would appreciate your assistance in testing. You do not need to complete the full regression testing. Even if you only have time to test a portion of the new build, i.e. cash process, meter reading upload, billing, etc., we will gladly accept your assistance. All testing documents are posted to the LOGIS portal at http://portal.logis.org.
The goal is to begin applying Build 3.1.24 to PRODUCTION databases the week of October 3rd.
During the week of August 15th, LOGIS is sending its two primary RecTrac Support Analysts to a RecTrac symposium in Burlington, Vermont, the headquarters of VSI (the developers of RecTrac). The symposium will provide lots of opportunity to delve deeply into how RecTrac works, allowing the attendees to return with significant new knowledge they can use to support the application.
The Support Analysts will have very limited access to email and voice mail during this week, so it is important that you use one of the following methods to start a support request:
Call the LOGIS Application Support Line at 763-543-2601 and select Option 4
Use the LOGIS support Self Service Center at Support.LOGIS.org(You will need user login.)
Using any of the above methods will route your support request correctly. If you send an email or leave a voice mail message with the analysts directly, it will likely not be looked at for at least a week.
