The City of Shakopee has started the process to integrate ePermits with electronic plan review software.
This will allow plan review permits to be issued and managed online using ePermits. It also provides a more precise and efficient means of communication between the applicant and city staff regarding plan review.
Preparation, database setup, server framework and permit configuration is in motion.
LOGIS will host the plan review training session for Shakopee staff scheduled in October 2016.
Shakopee will be our 3rd PIMS City to begin this transition.
We are very excited to ensure a successful go live for Shakopee in 2017!
Annually the users of the LOGIS Special Assessments application get together to see any new enhancements. Most system enhancements come directly from the users, and this is a great opportunity for them to request changes. The meeting also allows them to poll each other on how to handle certain circumstances.
Some of the highlighted enhancements were: enhanced financial account number tracking, ease of creating new projects and assessment masters, new assessment master sub status, and the ability to customize eProperty screens.
This year the meeting was on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 and was well attended with at least one user from most cities attending. A request was made by the users to add an additional mid-year meeting to keep up on the changes and use the meeting like a mini training session on how to use some of the functions of the system.
LOGIS staff was approached in late 2015 by Advanced Utility Systems executives to discuss the idea of presenting at the 2016 Harris Customer Training Conference. LOGIS accepted the offer to present our valued expertise with AUS clients.
The presentation will span 50 minutes and include topics such as build testing plan methodology, best practices, creating a testing checklist, timelines, issues discovery and reporting protocol and unique vs. global troubleshooting and resolution.
Vermont Systems, Inc. (VSI), the developers of the RecTrac parks and recreation software, is hosting a regional user group meeting for Minnesota customers on October 19th, 2016. The meeting will take place starting 8:30 AM at the Woodbury Central Park Valley Creek Banquet Hall, 8595 Central Park Place, Woodbury, MN 55125.
During the meeting, attendees will:
Learn about the current releases of RecTrac 3.1 and all it has to offer.
Focus on “Did You Know” features for the current RecTrac 3.1 and 10.3 releases to help get the most out of the RecTrac System.
Discuss frequently asked questions.
Review WebTrac updates and highlights as well as available Mobile options.
Meet some of VSI’s Senior Sales and Senior/Lead Support Representatives.
LOGIS will be sending its RecTrac support personnel to the meeting, and a number of our member city Parks and Rec staff will join us.
There was tremendous effort put into this upgrade, not only the last four days, but in the months and weeks leading up to it. Special thanks to Dave S, Nancy H, Kevin P, and Nolan L (LOGIS’ JDE Technical consultant), and the entire JDE Support team (Jill D, Nikki H and Kevin S) and many members of the Network Services team, especially John P and Jeff S, all contributed greatly to the success of this upgrade.
