VANCO, a leader in the electronic payment solution industry, is releasing a new and improved payment exchange platform in June 2017. The new platform will provide more individual transaction details and anytime viewing of assigned and unassigned transactions.
For efficiency purposes, VANCO is offering two standard platform options. The first choice is the Super Format, which is a comma separated, quote qualified, field layout in .csv format. The second choice is the NACHA format, which is a fixed length position file layout in .txt format.
LOGIS is working with Advanced to determine the best platform option for the 15 Utility Billing members that currently accept payments through VANCO. Configuration of each member’s database will commence thereafter.

Savage is currently using our PIMS (Permits and Inspections Management System) to issue permits, schedule inspection appointments and track inspection results.
The PIMS software implementation project began with a kick off meeting, late March 2017. LOGIS staff immediately initiated data discovery for migration purposes, created code table definitions, added permit fee configurations for calculations, followed by an in depth training session.
On June 6th, 2017 – PIMS was launched into production at Savage. LOGIS staff was on site to oversee the software deployment. The entire PIMS team worked together to manage any issues.
The entire PIMS software project was a great success!
Savage will also be using our Code Enforcement module, Business License module, ePermits and eScheduling, very soon.

Vermont Systems Inc. (VSI), the developers of RecTrac, have a new look for their website. LOGIS RecTrac users go to this site to access training videos, the VSI support FAQ, etc.
The new look is more modern, but it functions the same way as the previous design. To access the training videos and FAQ, click on the “Support” link in the upper-right of the screen. This brings you to a separate support page, where you must click on the “Access Support” button. Clicking on that button will display a login screen, where you provide your VSI support site login ID and password. You must provide an ID and password to access the training videos and FAQ. If you do not have a VSI support site login, please contact LOGIS at email@example.com. We will get you set up.
Special Assessment Departments regularly receive payments from Title Companies to pay off Levied and Pending Special Assessments for Parcels.
Entering the Title Companies into the built in Code Tables allowed the users to select the Title Company as the payer from a drop down list. However, if the Title Company wasn’t in the code table, users were required to manually enter the information or go to a different screen to add the Title Company, then they would need to reopen the payment screen to allow the selection of the Title Company. A little button on all payment screens to the right of the Title Code drop down will now allow the user to enter a new Title Company, and it will immediately be available to select in the drop down.
The latest release of PDS contained many useful enhancements like this one to assist in daily work tasks.
