PCI Compliance is Coming to ePermits
Date Posted:
LOGIS is in the process of making changes to ensure the ePermit website is compliant with the new security standards set by the credit card industry. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is moving forward with this change in order to prevent any type of security breach or fraud. This is enforced by the major credit card companies that make up the Payment Card Industry Security Council—American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard and Visa.
This will involve specific changes to the payment function in ePermits. Â All PIMS cities that use ePermits through LOGIS will need to have their software upgraded to the new versions by July 1, 2010.
We anticipate all of our ePermits cities to be up and running on the new version in time to meet the deadline. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact LOGIS at 763-543-2600.
