Application Development and Support Manager

Position Summary:

LOGIS hosts Information Technology systems and services to over 50 local governments in Minnesota as a governmental collaborative since 1972. We are currently seeking an Application Development and Support Manager to be part of our senior management team. This position is responsible for all aspects of development and support for internally created or supported application software. The manager is also responsible for the supervision of three to four software developers and eight to twelve application support staff.

LOGIS offers an excellent benefits and compensation package. Hiring Range is $130,000 to $140,000 D.O.Q. For additional information on this position, click here.

Qualifications:

Competencies include technical software development experience; project management, staff supervision, excellent communication skills and problem solving/analysis.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university; or the equivalent in combinations of college and work experience. At least five years of desktop and web application software development with experience in Visual Studio.net, Team Foundation Server and MS SQL Server. Five years managing direct support to users of computer applications is also required.

Desired qualifications include experience in application and database architecture; Telerik development tools and experience with conversion and conversion tools.

Fiber Optic Analyst

Position Summary:

LOGIS provides top tier software, application support, and complete LAN services to over 50 member governmental agencies in Minnesota. Our mission is to facilitate and provide leading edge and adaptable technical solutions through the sharing of ideas, applications, systems, and resources in a member-driven consortium.

LOGIS is searching for a Fiber Optic Analyst that will be responsible for maintaining the LOGIS and member fiber optic facilities. Primary responsibilities will include overseeing changes and enhancements in the fiber optic plants, performing OTDR test and analyzing results, working with vendors and cities on routes, troubleshooting issues, splicing of fiber strands, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications:

• Education: B.S. in Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Experience in external fiber optic implementations, splicing/repairing fiber optic networks, and fiber optic OTDR testing.

Infrastructure Specialist

Position Summary:

LOGIS (a Joint Powers, intergovernmental consortium of Minnesota local government units providing business applications and IT hosting solutions to 40+ governmental agencies in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area) is currently seeking an Infrastructure Specialist to assist with the design, installation, and maintenance of the consortium’s network equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, install, maintain and troubleshoot LOGIS and member firewalls, routers, and switches according to standards and procedures.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of local and wide area network infrastructures.
• Design, install, and maintain advanced building and point-to-point WiFi systems.
• Design and implement highly redundant networks links to LOGIS and the Internet utilizing BGP and OSPF.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain LOGIS and member VPNs, including LAN-to-LAN, and AnyConnect user 2 factor connectivity.
• Create recommendations on enhancing standards, networks and security of the network.
• Evaluate, monitor, maintain, and make recommendations on the security of the network infrastructure.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation on the LOGIS and member network infrastructure.
• Provide secondary support of the LOGIS IP Telephony Service.
• Communicate in a clear and concise manner all pertinent information necessary for the smooth running of the network to staff.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in design and supporting local/wide area networks in 500+ device networks using Cisco equipment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related IT field.
• CCNA certification required, CCNP preferred.
